Those answering roll call at Monday evening's City Council meeting at La Harpe City Hall were councilmen Irish, Lovell, Helmers, Bennett, Burford, Carpenter, Neff, and City Clerk Carol Stevens, and La Harpe Mayor Kenny Brown.
Also attending the meeting were Justin Livingston, Wayne Humphrey, Tim Graves, Roger Hughes, Richard Rasmussen, Jason Torrence Erik Krekle, Odie Downs, and Tim Manock of WIRC.
The motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the July meetings. Motion carried.
The motion was made and seconded to approve the treasurer's report and pay all bills. Motion carried.
Tim Manock from Western Illinois Regional Council was present to speak regarding a grant available to help homeowners with funding for their housing repairs and maintenance.
To receive the grant money for LaHarpe, a survey will be mailed out to determine the market for the program in LaHarpe.
The motion was made and accepted to renew the liquor license for Ayerco Convenience Center for another year.
The motion to adjourn was made and seconded at 7:30 p.m.
The next scheduled meeting will be held at the city hall on Monday, August 28, 2006 at 7:00 p.m.
