Celebrating 2005!

by Dessa Rodeffer, Quill Publisher/Owner

28 December 2005

I am saying good-bye to 2005 with a feeling of gratitude and some regrets.

I am grateful for the many in our communities who run businesses, take care of government issues, or serve our country in the U.S. or overseas. I am very pleased with the teachers and school administration of West Central who have had a huge transition to make, adjusting to so many changes in such a short time. As I take pictures of teachers, in West Central, I have seen the various changes: busy hallways, huge classes, a few cramped rooms, some problems that must be addressed, yet a lot of new and great ideas being implemented but mostly talented teachers with huge hearts for our kids. In spite of adjustments, kids blend, learn, and grow and I am thankful that everyone is trying hard to make this work.

My regrets in 2005 are the hundreds of stories I have not told about each of you who make up our communities.

You are an important chapter that makes our area a great place to call home. Help me by sending in your stories in 2006. Have a great New Year!
