Hope You Are At The Relay-for-Life

It may sound like we are rockin' and rollin' and whooping it up this weekend at the American Cancer Society Relay-for-Life: "Walk Around The Clock" (and we are), but truly, it is a very serious event for everyone involved.

The Quill's "Susie Qs" are walking in memory of Susan Hoffeditz Towns, a wonderful employee who lost the fight to cancer early this year.

Last year at the Relay, Sue told everyone in our church, if they would walk, she would walk a "round with them. And she did... with a smile... even with cancer. Won't you come support her and her honorary Relay for Life Survivor Judy Colley and the many others who are in this fight to stop this terrible disease. Won't you take time out of one evening, to sit in the bleachers and honor our survivors who will take the first lap.

So many have worked so hard. So many wonderful people and businesses have supported The Relay. My prayer is we raise enough this time to find a cure.
