A Fairy Tale Wedding

Ecumenical Music Director Leo Ramer of Monmouth, who proposed to his pianist of 14 plus years Alisa Yeast with a diamond on Diamond Head in Hawaii, was married Saturday afternoon at high mass in the Cathedral of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception in Peoria. I took the last chair as ushers stood throughout the long ceremony of singing, communion, and Mass.

The Ecumenical Singers of Monmouth sang a prelude of three selections followed by the Immaculate conception children and youth choirs, two selections with brass and organ and a flute-organ duet.

The Processional was six verses of all singing Soli Deo Gloria. There was more beautiful music, the accoustics were grand. The fabulous day concluded at the reception at the Peoria Civic Center. It gave everyone a chance to congratulate Leo and Alisa, enjoy refreshments, toasts, and dancing.
