The last Junior-Senior Prom for Southern High School was held this past weekend and reports were coming into The Quill of how very fine SHS students behaved.

It was also reported on how very striking the students looked in their formal wear, and how much fun everyone had, including the adults who attended.

I wished I had been there to enjoy the fun and special moments and fun at the dinner and dance.

I recall the many hours of preparation and fun during my high school Prom many years ago.

We,who are Stronghurst or Southern graduates, are feeling a little nostalgic about our alma mater.

We are especially feeling a lot closer to this special graduating class of 2005 because we share in the sad goodbyes to our school as we knew it.

One of Southern's finest graduates was undoubtedly thinking the same thing as she emailed me this week with questions she thought would be interesting if answered.
